I just upgraded, so on the off chance that somebody wants a pair of 512 MB sticks of notebook ram - if you've got a crappy laptop you want to make slightly less crappy:

DDR2 PC2-5300
200-pin
HP brand
2 x 512 MB (1 GB total)

The pair is yours for 15,000 won or best offer. I'll deliver it myself if you throw in the subway fare.

You have to know what type of ram your laptop will accept, how many slots, and what the maximum is. Do a search on you model to figure this out.

Re the Toshiba question:

The brand doesn't matter, just the other specs I posted (DDR2, PC2-5300, 200-pin). If that checks out, you're fine. There are various webistes that will scan your system and tell you what you need, or you could just open up your machine and take a look - it should be labeled. Google something like "what kind of ram do I need".

This might help (I didn't try it, but it looks useful): http://www.crucial.com/promo/index.aspx?prog=desktop&pid=1254104

Umm.. 7,500, I guess, but wouldn't you rather have both? Razz

By the way, since I didn't mention this at all... my location is Gangseo-gu, Seoul, near Balsan station (line 5).

I have 384 MB in a hp pavilion zv5000.

Just by doing a quick google, it seems that they may fit?

But I know nothing of how to put them in, unless I could get assistance from somebody here to replace them (for the appropriate recompence^^).

Sorry, I think mine is DDR1, and I believe incompatible with the DDR2.

Sorry again,
Ken
