An elementary school in Andong is advertising hre for a teacher...do
elementary schools do this on their own? It hought they all went through EPIK?
And is 2,000,000 par for the course for an elementary school?
And one last thing, would the recruiter who previously pounced on this question please NOT pounce on this? |

| My first job here was through a recruiter and was a public school job. I didn't have to put up with all the EPIK/GEPIK crap and could leave school whenever there were holidays and I wasn't teaching. They tend to be better because you are working just with the school. It could go the complete opposite way as you can't count on the EPIK people to help. Still, it's probably a good thing. You might also be able to negotiate ... I did. |

| i was also hired via recruiter, they follow the GEPIK contract but no sittin around when ur not working (1 week camp n the rest are holidays away from school). i do put in the 8 hour day with an hour for lunch included. this is HS, by the way. I would assume the wage should follow EPIK/GEPIK contracts---I believe they are obligated to follow the contracts at the minimum, and can 'up' it when dealing directly. |

Asking them to send you a copy of the contract as an email attachment is always a good idea. It will certainly mention who your employer would be. |
