I just got the external ink printer like Superhero and Demo have. Where's the best deal you've found on photopaper?
I haven't looked too hard, but so far, the best deal I've found on 4x6 photopaper is.... shockingly... at Link-O in COEX mall. Formtec brand 4x6 premium glossy pack of 50 for about 8,000 won. And the weight is 260 g/m2.
It's also packed in a cardboard box, which impressed me. Pics seem to look quite good on it. |

Actually haven't bought any yet. I just finished off the free pack of 25 I got with the printer. I went to homever on Thursday and meant to get some, but forgot to get it.
Is there a link-o somewhere north of the river, not really intersted in getting on the subway for 1 hour to get photo paper. Hmmm might be going to Yongsan anyhow next week... yeah that's where I'll get it. |

I picked up some Epson photo paper there. It was 6,000 for 30 pack. It's not quite as thick as the Formtec paper. Got it at the Epson shop near where your printer place was. I didn't look too hard for anything cheaper. If you do find a better deal, let me know.
I've found the best settings for the Formtec are Other Photo Papers. Don't use the "FULL" setting for the HP color enhancement, as it looks like poop. Default BASIC seemed OK. I was trying the HP semi-gloss setting on the Epson paper, and everything looked great except the reds and pinks. They turned out overblown and generally crappy.
If I choose any of the HP paper settings, the prints take a lot longer to print, probably use a lot more ink, and end up oversaturated.
A word of warning... I bought some Kodak paper from Technomart once, and it wasn't Kodak inside. They'd switched it for something very cheap. I was pissed and went back. I gave the lady an earfull. She refunded it, but I was pretty angry that I even had to bother. |

| I recommend you don't use photo paper to print pictures. It costs a lot of money to make good pictures. Just put the photos you want on a CD and take it to E-Mart. They can print there easily and cheaply. Printing pictures at home on your home printer is not good for money (ink costs). |

Not when you have a printer like I do. |
