It takes me a little over an hour. The sauce is fast. No problem there. About 20 minutes, start to finish. And I can fry the sausage while the sauce is simmering. The dough doesn't take long. I use a non-rise recipe, so it only takes about 10 minutes or so. My downfall is cutting up the veggies. I'm agonizingly slow. (mushrooms, green and black olives, garlic, bell pepper--the onions are in the sauce).
And there went the kitchen timer. It's done!
Have a good weekend. |

That's the easy part....wait a second....I'll go in the kitchen and get the recipe...
This is for Quick Dough (you don't need to let it rise)
3 cups of flour
1 teaspoon of salt
1 pkg (2 3/4 teaspoons) of yeast
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 cup of warm water
Mix the flour and salt and proof the yeast (mix the yeast, water and sugar) and wait till the water foams.
Mix it all together and then spread it on your pizza pan.
All done. No need to wait. Put on the sauce and goodies and bake!
(This is enough dough for a regular size rectangular cookie sheet. If you have a smaller pizza pan, cut the recipe in half and see if that is enough.) |

I think Dev has been choking the chicken while cooking again. That might explain why people turn down dinner invitations to his place. |

Hey! How did you know? Yes, it was me that gave the Koreans the idea to make chicken pizza. I won't tell you how I came up with the corn idea too. But I am sure you can imagine. |

I was going to say something about not standing too close to the stove, but that would depend on length, wouldn't it? |

LOL.. ya-ta boy.. you are funny.
I have never tried to make my own pizza, although I do have a couple of ready made pasta pastries in the freezer.
I haven't found a sauce I like yet.
How do you make the sauce? |

Sauce
there are more ways to make sauce than you can shake a stick at but here are a couple:
1. Buy canned tomato sauce, put in a saucepan and simmer, add in basil, oregano and garlic(saute off your garlic first in the pan before you add your tomato.....it adds a nice flavour) add crushed chilis, black pepper.
Simmer sauce for approximately 20 minutes or until sauce reaches desired consistency.
2. Canned tomatoes.....crush thoroughly with a food processer or blender(puree actually) other than that same method as 1
3. Purist method. Find some nice roma tomatoes, blanch them in boiling water then cool in ice, remove and discard skins. Take a very sharp knife and slice garlic paper thin, saute garlic in virgin olive oil until lightly browned. Dice up tomatoes and add into pan, add chopped fresh basil, oregano and simmer. Take black peppercorns and crush(roughly) add to sauce, take chilis and dice, add to sauce. Leave sauce on low heat for about 40 minutes stirring occasionaly until it is a medium paste.
In all recipes use herbs and spices to taste. |

yeah sounds like American style pizza!!
true italian style it will take much longer than one hour!!
first off the sauce takes about 12 hours!!
second the dough takes about a good 2 or 3 hours it should not be rushed to rised! and it needs to be kneeld for a good 20mins nice and slow!!
then the balls need to be rounded off and left to rise on their own before you flatten them out into circles!!
but yeah!!
I could make a pizza in an hour too.. even less you dont even half to cook the sauce!! just mix it with the spices and add it to the dough!
so you could make one in about 40mins I guess |

16 minutes.
1 minute to make the phone call.
15 minutes for delivery.
I made a pizza! Out of thin air as it were. |
