|
|
Where, if anywhere, can I find frozen food such as:
Lean Cuisine (and other frozen meals of this sort)
Hot Pockets
Other than on a US base, are there any options?
I've never seen them available at Costco, Red Door (Itaewon), or the various online foreign food websites.
Anyone else have better luck?
Thanks for any ideas. |

| Microwaves are a crutch. Learn to cook fast and easy it tastes way better and in most cases is better for you. |

| I dunno if you'll get those exact brand names, but Costco is your best bet. Get a 1 year membershib, best 32,000 won you'll ever spend. |

hot pockets are food? preservatives, processed meat (carcinagen), cheese (hormones and pus) and a white flour (no nutritional value) outer casing.
maybe we need a new definition of food. |

Thank you pesawattahi and mistermasan for enjoying the sound of your own voices
I'm pleased to provide a pedestal on which you may preach.
Yes yes, health, cancer, blah, blah.
To paraphrase wiser words: let he (or she) who is without at least one bad health habit throw the first politically correct slogan.
I jest, I jest.
But besides: I hardly think my occasional nostalgic indulgence of sub-par nuked cuisine will be what does me in.
Usually I cook (shock and awe) or dine out.
Costco is a good call, and I'm a member- but they are very limited on the frozen meal front last time I checked.
Nightsky- that's getting close- Thanks for the idea!
Any other avenues? |

Haddon House has frozen meals sometimes - they are hit and miss as to what is available - sometimes they have lean cuisine, sometimes others. That is the only place I have seen those types of things.
I'm not sure of directions there from a subway, as I usually take the 110 bus from Itaewon. ( It goes up through hannam dong, past hannam village and the stop is shortly after that). Sorry - maybe someone else can give better directions. |

| Hannam supermarket complex, on the right where the road from Hannam Bridge north turns into Left to Itaewon/Right to Yaksu/Tunnel to Chongno, in Volvo Building basement. There's an independent guy in the first shop as you walk in who can get you anything. |
