I hope to renew my p.s. Gyeonggi contract in May, so should I get the U.K. criminal check done now?

Will my school ask me to do it nearer the end of my current contract, or if they ask me when it is not practically possible to get one done in time, will they give me extra time to get it done?

I suspect if I leave it to my school they will inform me I need to get a criminal check when it is too late to get one done in time.

The police check takes around 6 weeks to come through then if you post it to the Legilsation Office in London (or get someone in the UK to do it for you) it'll take up to 4 weeks for that process, unless you have someone in the UK who can go in in person for you. Probably wouldn't do any harm to get the process started now - I think the police check is valid for 3 months from date of issue.
