hey all, this will be my 4th contract in Korea. I have only taught at hagwons but there are a lot of jobs opening up at public schools. I think I'd still prefer the small class sizes of hagwons but I don't really know too much about the public schools.
Can someone please give me some information on these public jobs. Are they any good?
They sound like a good gig but I've had to teach a few classes here and there at a public school and I hated it. Too many students and they weren't interested at all in learning english, I was pretty frustrated with them. |

I never call out trolls, but today's your lucky day:
1. You've been here 4 contracts and have yet to find out what public schools are like?
2. You've not yet found out what public schools are like and you have taught at them?
3. You've taught at them, but have only been employed at hogwans?
4. Public schools don't hire hogwan teachers here and there for a few classes.
5. You have been here 4 contracts and just signed up to this website this month in order to ask about public schools that you've supposedly taught at?
6. You don't know how to read the stickies, FAQs, use the search button (though it SUCKS ASS) or scroll through the last 5-10 pages of threads to read about current public school positions.
Yo, if you aren't trolling, sorry. In that case, see #6 and write back with more specific questions. |
