Hey, anybody been in this situation before?
One month left on my contract and the owner is selling the business. If you have ever been in this situation and can give me an idea of what problems could arise (and how to avoid them) let me know.
Thanks |

I can't help you personally, but there have been several threads on here about exactly this. The new owner may tell you that you have to sign a new contract (you don't) or that he isn't responsible for the payments to you in the contract (he is.) Your answer to either of these is "Labor Board."
Use the search function on here to find those threads... |

You may have problems, but just be prepared in case they play hardball with you over the contract and severance. |

A friend of mine was put in Immigration detention (ie jail) and hit with a multi-million won fine a few years ago because his employer changed owners and no one told Immigration. They came and investigated one day and arrested him.
Watch out. |
