In a sane world, this man would be the next president of the US.
- Peak oil is a real problem, mentions Rep. Bartlett.
- Wife: A ticket with Ron Paul is a possibility.
- 9/11 should be re-opened.
Worth a look.

Thanks Keane.
Such a ticket would clearly give US "voters" a real 3rd alternative. |

Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich share some ideas in common, but are far far apart on others.
Especially in regards to poverty and more importantly health care.
I don't see how the two could work together? |

| I suppose they feel ending the empire is more important than any other consideration. |

I wasn't aware tickets were built around two people having exactly the same agenda. The most important one, the war, they are exactly the same. With regard to restoring primacy of the Constitution, they are the exactly same.
That's a pretty good base to build on. Besides, the VP isn't expected to lead on policy and will have his special interests to indulge given this new era of activist VPs. |

Ahhh.....sorry but have you really studies either man's policies?
One despises the governments intrusiveness into almost every area and one champions it to solve most of our social ills.
The two couldn't be more diametrically opposed to one another. |

Shhh. Don't throw facts up in the middle of Keane's baseless verbal diarrhea. He's was on a role damn it! We need greater attention brought to his reality. |

You are missing my point. I didn't say they would go about restoring primacy in the same manner, I said they would go about "restoring primacy of the Constitution." Trust me, that's a hell of a lot closer on the issue than all the other blow-hards who don't really believe in its primacy.
Also, I'd say they both have the same concern for others - the one least wanting to have the gov't assist so much is a doctor, no? - but differ on the best way to go about that.
Let me reiterate: one wouldn't be VP. By definition, he wouldn't be setting policy. Now, since both have referenced the other as honest and a supporter of the Constitution, and Kucinich's camp has specifically said they'd look at doing it, I'm not sure your point is worth spending much time on at present. |

^ You really are digging yourself a hole there buddy.
My point isn't worth spending time on because it destroys your entire argument.
Even both men's ideas on the essence of the Constitution differ. With Paul taking on the more liberatarian approach and Kucinich championing stste power in helping the masses.
Just face it, them teaming up sounds sexy, but it would never work out. |

How does imperfect agreement on one issue = unable to work together? If either man were as simplistic as that, would anyone bother to vote for them? You say, by implication, their differences are bigger than similarities. I say you are wrong. That would go against what we know of the character of both men.
Just face it, THEY are talking about it. Yes, I'm sure that means *I* don't know what *I'm* talking about...
Since you don't have any actual information or examples, and insist "because I said so" means something, we should let this go. |

keep digging!
Kucnich and Paul, even if they ran would not win.
However, they would put some of their policies into the discourse of the presidental campaign.
That would be the only reason they would unite as a third party.
Beleiving that they could actually govern together considering their differences is laughable. |

Love your crystal ball, but that's not even the issue.

Who said third party? There is no law promulgating the choice of VP must come from within your party. But even so, if what you say is true, and desirable, why spend so much energy arguing that it is impossible? What would the point be?

You keep saying that, but have given precious little to hang that hat on. Feel free to post the basic positions of both on any and all Constitutional issues... |

Actually I've posted a few specific policy areas where Paul and Kucinich vastly differ.
You've only brought up the Constitution as something they share in common. You didn't specify how, so how? |
