So today I noticed about fifteen of these little flying things walking on my window (which were very damp) - All the same little tiny things, dumb and dumber - Easily killed, easily washed away. What are they? I usually keep my window open a small bit because I can't breathe properly otherwise. |

Sounds like fruit flies, and they're a major pain in the A. Is there a lot of fruit, or other food, lying around exposed in your apt?

No. They just seem to hang around on the damp Window. Both inner and outer windows are now shut and they keep appearing. The only fruit is in my fridge as keeping it out is not good for saving money
But there are rubbish bags just below the window (I'm on the second floor).
I take it they don't bite then! |

I might have the same thing in my apartment. They don't stay on the window but they fly around my desk lamp. well, the only one remaining does. Are they green or red? If they are red or orange, they are probably fruit flies, if green, I don't know what they are but I know what you're talking about |

I couldn't see any this morning so I assumed they'd gone. I've had the windows shut all night too. Then by accident I discovered a load of them crawling around inside the waste rubbish bag under the sink. It seems they'd gotten to the orange I'd thrown away. But the thing is, they appeared before I'd thrown that orange away. Maybe they just moved to it? Anyway hopefully they'll fade away now.. And theres still plenty air-tightly sealed inside the rubbish bag about to face a cold death outside. |

They still keep appearing on my window. Every afternoon when I get home they appear. But usually only after I open the window, and always on the same left panel (never the right - probably because its brighter). Always the same baby ones, not the big kind. I never see them in the morning, and in the evening they seem to disappear (or have drowned on the window). Also, my window is always soaking wet. Leaving it shut makes it worse, as there is now a pool of window at the bottom which I don't know how to drain out. Eh.. Lose lose situation |

They're too small for my camera to see anything clearly. They are fruit flies not rainbow coloured lizards. You either know what they are or not, looking at them won't make any difference. |
