I noticed that people in the US are getting a free 10 day trial of World of Warcraft. I'd like to give it a go, but of course I'm in Korea. What's the best way to try it? Is there one?

If you're American or have an American credit card and address, then you are probably in. I can't get past the page of entering a security input to prevent bots from doing it. https://signup.worldofwarcraft.com/authkey.html

It might be blocking me, because my computer is in a foreign country; Korea.

They hope American children join their Korean counterparts so they're giving them a free taste of the World of Korea. LOL

There's a free lord of the rings online trial. I tried to go to the misty mountains, but the bad guys are too tough over there and I got my butt kicked. Sad

i ended up getting a mate to sign up for me, and i just logged in and downloaded the game Smile

The last time I was in Korea I did the free trial without any problems. I also tried D&D Online and a couple others. Never had any problems. Maybe they've changed things now?

After 2 days I was completely bored. What's the appeal of these games? Ah well, that's another thread I guess.

A bit of looking around and you might find a way to play WOW for free all the time.
