Most of the big universities in Seoul and Pusan have international undergrad and grad schools where classes are taught in English. If you have a Ph.D. in a related field (I.R./Business/Asian Studies [a focus on China is hot these days), Sociology, or Economics, you would be qualified to apply. A few of the programs will take 'new Ph.D.s', but some of the bigger ones require at least a year of post-doc teaching experience, and one or two publications. Some of the programs hire for tenure track positions, and some hire for non-tenure track visitorships.
Check out the websites for Korea University, Seoul National University, Yonsei University, Sogang University, Ewha Womans University, Hanyang University and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) in Seoul, and Pusan National University in Pusan.
For the international graduate schools, search for the G.S.I.S. (Graduate School of International Studies).
Cheers, and good luck to you. |
