I patiently, eagerly awaited for the grand opening of "On the border" in Shinchon in Seoul and left feeling rather disapointed (way to much oil or grease) and pricey but the freebies (chips and salsa) were excellent..
Has anyone tried Chois' Tacos in Shinchon? I'm thinking of trying them out, anybody let me know what you think. Thanx. |

'Dos Tacos' in Hongdae does a great burrito and taco. It's a 'mexican casual grill' so you order per item...fresh cilantro, mexican rice, great guacamole, everything's delicious.
Up the street from exit 4 if I remember correctly...yum. |

Casa Maya next to the playground in Hongdae has passable sit-down Mexican food. There are taquerias too, as mentioned above, but I think the best is the one in Noksapyeong with the big yellow TACO sign. |

On the Border in Sinchon gets my vote.
Yeah, it's more Tex-Mex, but as an American it doesn't get any better than that in Korea. Pricey, but well worth it. AYCE Fresh salsa and in-house tortilla chips, Patron 'ritas...
Choi's in Sinchon is fantastic as well, but not a great place to sit down and eat. More of a take-away joint. |

And after you've used the search engine three times and it barfs up an empty page then post a message. |

Is Chois under some new management? They seem to have a new foreigner discount policy. And they've added bean burritos although they're not that great.
Chili Chili's aka Taco Taco aka Mexican Foreign Food Foreign Restaurant for Foreigners in Noksapyeong I think is the best.
On the Border I guess is a fine enough sit down date place or gathering for 5 friends but pricey if you're just looking to slam down some Mexican food. And damn its salty there.
DOS tacos in Gangnam is usually packed solid on weekends. |

Chois always had a bean burrito.. not sure about the foreigner discount.. maybe it's a new thing cause of the On the Border opened up.. hard to say.. I don't mind it anytime I go there.. though 10% isn't much, it's better than nothing.. |
