Sorry I can't give more details other than it's a pain in the butt.
Don't forget that you have to pay a tax every 6 months, and there is a fee to get the car checked out by the gov't inspectors at a certain location between specified dates. They will send you information a month or so in advance of this, and if you don't do it, there is one huge fine to pay (which you can't avoid if you sell the car). Your car may be due for inspection, overdue, or have one in the near future. Be sure to ask the owner about this. There should be a date printed on the title of the car which says when the inspections have been. |
