Gaining gradual awareness of my own mortality, I figure it now prudent to get some life insurance, so that the loved ones won't be left in a lurch on the event of my untimely passing. Most Canadian insurance companies insist on residency in the Great White North in order to obtain coverage, and won't extend this to expats. Has anyone purchased life insurance through an international company while being in Korea? Or through a Korean company, if the policy will continue after I return to Canada (or move somewhere warmer)?
