|
|
Hello,
I am interested in finding an English copy of World of Warcraft. I live in Seoul and have visited Technomart in search of buying a brand new copy, but I couldn't find that game in particular. They had quite a few English games, but again not the one I was looking for.
I am interested in finding a copy, either buying someone else's or information pointing me in the right direction. If I cannot find a copy here, I will have someone mail me the one I left back home. This will take a while and would love to find a copy here just to get my fix that much quicker.
I would need the Burning Crusade expansion as well.
Thanks,
Ryan
Edit: spelling.

yes just register on the Blizzard website... you can download the game for free there... you also get 10 days free trial. |

You can download both from www.worldofwarcraft.com. Sign up for the 10 day free trial, it will give you an option to download the US version of the game. That's how I got my copy. If you have any questions on how to do this, send me a message. Good Luck. |

The issue I have right now is I didn't bring my computer with me and I had initially anticipated just playing the game at some PC bang. Lo and behold, they have a Korean version, who knew? If I get a copy of the game I am sure I can convince my local PC band to install it, if I knew more Korean I may even be able to get him to DL it for me, but as it stands, I am hard pressed to explain what I want without some CDs in my one hand and wons in the other.
Thanks for the advice so far,
Ryan |

It might be hard to convince a Bong Lord to let you install it on a computer in his joint. From what I understand, the computers do a fresh wipe of any new software loaded onto it with each restart. I, of course, could be wrong. However, he probably wouldn't want to put it on all of them, and unless you have a reserved PC, you won't be sure to get the computer it's installed on. I put the game files on my iPod and just take that to a PC bong and play it off of it. There is some lag when I do this, but not enough to keep me from playing. Good luck! |

Jast say: "I want install WOW Englishy Versun".
Almost every tech work is Konglish anyway, just watch to the Korean TV Gaming channel for 10 minutes if you don't believe me.
I'd be damn surpised if at least one person in the PCbang didn't understand you.
Really surprised. |

That's even better advice. You could pick up a USB external drive real cheap www.danawa.co.kr

Wow, thanks for the advice. I will look into an external hard drive type thing. I would still have to get the files somewhere, maybe download em at the bang, but at least it saves me from having to buy a new computer here JUST to play the game. Which I would do.
Thanks,
Ryan |

you could just ask someone to download it and put the setup files onto a cd or dvd or USB.
Im sure your mates would do it.
I live in Itaewon and will do it for you if you are around here. |

I'm actually downloading the install files now. There is a bug in the newest patch and so I've decided to reinstall. If you're in the Bucheon area, I could put the files on a hard drive for you if you buy one. Either way, make sure to get on a PvP server. PvE is for n00bs! |

Shetan/Tenshi, I appreciate the offers. I may actually take one of you up on it. I was planning on finding something this weekend and then looking to get the files. I own an iPod, someone mentioned that before, but I am pretty illiterate when it comes to using it without iTunes. I think a small harddrive will work best. I live in Nowon... in Seoul. I know Iteawon, but not sure where Bucheon is.
PvE is for n00bs?? Thems fighting words... haha, I am on Rexxar, some low end PvE server.

Find your own &%$#ing copy then! Just kidding man. If you ever wanna roll on a PvP, let me know. I actually don't have the files yet. I started downloading them at work and my workmates were all like "WTF? Why is the internet running so slow..." I should have them this weekend though.
