|

Quote: |
MOSCOW A plane carrying the Polish president, Lech Kaczynski, and dozens of the countrys top political and military leaders crashed in a heavy fog in western Russia on Saturday morning, killing everyone aboard.
...
For Poland, the losses raise the question of how a country of 38 million can replace a whole political class. Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski one of the highest-ranking Polish leaders not on board the plane told Polands Radio Zet that he was the one to inform Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who was in tears when he heard about the catastrophe.
Among those on board, according to the Web site of the newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza, were Mr. Kaczynski; his wife, Maria; former Polish president-in-exile Ryszard Kaczorowski; the deputy speaker of Polands parliament, Jerzy Szmajdzinski; the head of the presidents chancellery, Wladyslaw Stasiak; the head of the National Security Bureau, Aleksander Szczyglo; the deputy minister of foreign affairs, Andrzej Kremer; the chief of the general staff of the Polish army, Franciszek Gagor; the president of Polands national bank, Slawomir Skrzypek; the commissioner for civil rights protection, Janusz Kochanowski; the heads of all of Polands armed forces; and dozens of members of parliament. |

It is irresponsible to have that many political leaders on one flight.
Very tragic. |

Well, considering the Polish president and the head banker were planning on going against the Globalists of the EU and planning to devalue their currency, it is not a surprise that their plane "Crashed."
Plane crashes are the specialty of the jackels. This has been happening in South America for decades. |

What I found interesting was that a presidential plane would be 20 years old and a Russian made plane versus a Boeing or Airbus....
Also, yes, everyone is probably wondering about there being some foul play at work here. |

yeah, and who cares that the Polish president was merely a figurehead (no, not downplaying his death, just the conspiracy theory). |

This is what happens when you don't toe the line in the EU.
Interesting to note that the day before this happened, the government announced plans to devalue the Polish currency. He was also one of the strongest opponents of the Lisbon Treaty.
But yeah, definitely caused by fog, cus, you know, planes can't land in fog. |

Both black boxes have been found. Preliminary data indicated that the plane hit the treetops as it was making the approach to the airport in poor visibility, the ITAR-Tass news agency quoted Marina Gridneva, an official with the Russian general prosecutor's office, as saying.
Andrei Yevseyenkov, spokesman for the Smolensk regional government, said Russian dispatchers had asked the Polish crew to divert from the military airport in North Smolensk and land instead in Minsk, the capital of neighboring Belarus, or in Moscow to the east because of the fog.
While traffic controllers generally have the final word in whether it is safe for a plane to land, they can and do leave it to the pilots' discretion. Air Force Gen. Alexander Alyoshin confirmed that the pilot disregarded instructions to fly to another airfield. The Smolensk airfield is not equipped with an instrument landing system to guide planes to the ground. |

Landing in heavy fog with no ILS? Wow. I'm no pilot, but I'd imagine that they were pretty much flying blind. The pilot really should have diverted.

Aw, c'mon. If he'd've diverted, what straw would the CTs have to grasp at this week? |

The pilot did ignore multiple instructions from air traffic control to divert in the terrible conditions, so this just may have been a royal screw-up on his part and nothing more.
Unless, unless...they are controlling the weather, too! |
