i have been fired from my hagwon for refusing to do a night of overtime. (that's another story). i am looking to change to another job here, and i assumed all i needed was a letter of release from my employer (they are going to give me this) and a visa run to japan.
however my boss told me that according to the person she spoke to at immigration, unless i have completed 9 months of my contract i will need to go home to new zealand before i can come back and start a new job. this seems off; what difference does it make whether i go to japan or nz? does anyone know whether there is any truth to this?
thanking you in advance. |

I think you should be fine if you can get your degree validated in Korea by the relevant competent authority. Someone here should be able to point you in the right direction to get this done. |
