I have been looking over the kr.kids.yahoo site, as a friend suggested that I use it as an additional resource for Gr 3 and 4 classes.
Some of the songs are useful, but I haven't looked through the whole site yet.
I did manage to find this though:
http://kr.infant.kids.yahoo.com/infantzone/index.html?service=story&mode=view&contents_no=419&sort=latest&endpg=4&pg=1
I'm not sure I would feel comfortable using this in class though....I'm sure the kids would love it, but I'm also sure I'd be in hot water afterwards. |

wasn't quite expecting the farts, but got me to chuckle...
Check this site out:

EDIT: I wouldn't use it in class, but I don't think you'd be in hot water if you could make it educational: I'm trying to think of a way to stage activities/games around the farting...role plays maybe (that could be fun) |

My co-teacher used it last week.
I was a bit surprised, but the kids loved it. Probably related to it! |

Why would you be in hot water? The farting or just for using something cartoon-y in class?
If for the fart reference, I think you needn't worry -- imagine it said, "my brother is always blowing his nose!" and then it showed him honking into a hanky. Farting in Korea seems about as shameful as nose-blowing in the US...it can be played for laughs, but isn't as "vulgar" as we might assume. |

My korean co teacher sometimes draws "poos" next to names on the whiteboard for poor behavior.
I'm not kidding. |

It's not so much that I have a problem with teaching something like "fart" in class, but more that I worry about kids telling their parents afterwards.
I know how easily things can get blown out of proportion or misconstrued or...etc.
The last thing I need is for some parents to complain that I am teaching swear words to their children. I'm not saying fart is swearing, I'm just saying I know how this could go bad. |
