Lots of good quality coats have a small tag, near the end of the sleeve, usually noting the wool. These tags are supposed to be removed after purchase. It's not hard. I noticed Koreans don't know that.
Well, there's your small gripe of the day. Got a more insignificant one? |

Don't know? Or don't on purpose?
Maybe conspicuous consumption plays a role in this?
I think it's akin to leaving the protective foam and dealer sticker on their new cars. |

...koreans dont realise.
i saw the same thing in tibet...its like they are showing off the label,as if its gucci or something, but the suits n coats are usually 50bucks.
on new cars they leave the plastic on the seats and the computerised tracking label on the window...
its to show how new it is,,,but stays on for years.
stainless steel...they leave the manufacturing plastic coating on...thus rendering the steel hard to clean and unhygenic..so defeating the stasinless steel kitchen/bathroom etc
they just dont realise.

And when the plastic, for instance on the Stand-Alone AirCon control panel starts to peel at the corners, they scotch tape the plastic back (and this is at the Samsung HQ ). They absolutely think the packaging is not packaging. |

As a kid growing up in the hood, urban youth would not remove price tags from sneakers, Starter jackets, and sideways baseball caps. They actually displayed the tags openly to show how new their fashion items were. |

Actually the leave the tags on to show that it is something...like a name brand. They believe that's the way to go... |

i commented on this to my officemates and they replied that it is more classy, look better. i said that it was considered in fact to be the opposite and they laughed at me for being strange. it was funny because some of their tags just said "HANDMADE" on them, LOL. |
