Just curious if there is a Gap store anywhere in Seoul? I know it's a lousy chain, but they usually seem to have nice long-fitting pants. |

No. I don't think so. Lots of other wanky generic brands though. And you'll have to be pretty tall to be tall for the pants available, I'm 1 metre 86 (over six feet) and have no problems buying pants in most stores. Lots of Koreans taller than me. |

I think the Gap is like Eigan or Bang Bang and Abercrombie and Fitch is like WHOAU California. |

Nope
No Gap stores in Korea. No Banana Republic-No Old Navy-No Limited.
The Gap's merchandising office is located in Itaewon next to The Crown Hotel. Most Gap fabrics are produced in Korea and are shipped out to China, Indonesia, Vietnam, etc., for garment production.
The Gap studies find Gap stores in South Korea too much of a financial risk. |

Hardy!!?? too cool, how'd you know the GAP's HQ here in Korea??
Yeah there is no GAP retail outlet. Often you'll find their clothes for sale though, either factory "over-produced" items or brought in from other countries.
Really Hardy.. how'd you know? (my gf works for them) |

Two reasons.
1. My ex owns a fabric export business in Myong-dong.
2. Many moons ago I taught English classes in the mornings at the GAP office. |

That explains a tracksuit I bought in Itaewon. It had it's tag cut so that you couldn't completely see where it came from. But it's basically a gap tag. |

cool Hardy, so you musta been teaching in the "Yangjin" agent. A agent of the GAP?
Actually their just in the "state" of merging with the actual GAP office located in the same building. Prior to now it was only a compliance office located "officially" in Korea.
And they've swithced locations.. still in the Twan though. |
