Hi folks

If you're getting this email, you've either signed-up on my site to be
notified or you've written to me and mentioned where you live. I'm coming
to Korea to shoot a clip for my new dancing video. This is an invitation to
come out and join me.

The last video was about places. This one is about people. LOTS of people.
So I'm not too concerned about the background. I just want a place where
people can gather and dance badly without getting into too much trouble.

The location is in front of Namdaemun (The Southern Gate) in Seoul on
Tuesday, January 29th. We will dance at 6pm.

The photo attached to this email shows where to meet.

I know a lot of you are nowhere near Seoul. But most of you are, so it's
the best place for getting a good crowd together.

We're not publicizing the event. This is just going out to people who've
signed up on my site or sent me email. I would like to get a big crowd
together, so please extend this invitation to everyone you know who might
want to participate.

The boring details are below. If you can't make it, you don't need to read
any further:

Please print out the attached release form and sign it ahead of time, if
possible. If you don't have a printer, I'll have copies to hand out. Sorry,
but I only have copies of the forms in English.

I'll also need to take a photo of each participant before the dance and
attach it to the release form so we can identify everyone in the video.

If you are under 18, you MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian who
can sign the release form and be photographed with you. Those are the rules
I have to follow in order to use the footage. The good news is that my
sponsor is making a donation to charity for each person who signs up and
dances with me.

Feel free to invite friends to come with you. Just make sure everyone is
okay with signing the release form.

When you get to the spot, look for the guy who looks like the guy in the
dancing video. Just come on over and say hello. I shouldn't be too
difficult to find.

It will take some time to process each person, so depending on how many
show up, I may have to stop accepting forms at some point and shoot the
video.
If you come early, it'll make things a bit easier on me.

I want to get a shot of the gate with its lights on. The sun sets at 5:51pm
on that date, so I am hoping the lights will come on shortly after and
there will still be enough daylight to see the dancers clearly. If it
starts getting dark and the lights are still off, we may just have to dance
without them.

The whole thing shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to shoot. We'll set up
the shot, dance for about 15 seconds, do it one more time for good measure,
and then try a couple fun variations.

There won't be any music. That gets added later. Blasting a stereo just
complicates things. Dance however you want to the music in your head.

I can't guarantee that the clip we shoot will end up in the final video.
There will be a lot of footage to choose from and some of it will not be
used.

You're welcome to bring your own camera. After the shoot, I'll stick around
for pictures and stuff. I'm happy to dance with you in your own
picture/video, so don't hesitate to ask.

Please reply to this email if you plan to attend and let us know how many
people you think you'll be bringing. It'll help to give us an idea of how
many to expect.

We're planning to put the final video up on the internet on June 21st, 2008.

저는 이번에 새로운 춤추는 동영상(Where the hell is Matt?동영상)을 촬영하러
곧 한국에 갑니다.

그래서 여러분들도 오셔서 참여하시라고 초대 메일을 보내드리게 되었습니다.



저번 동영상은 '지역(장소)'에 대한 것이었습니다. 그러나 이번에는
'사람'에 대한 것입니다.

아주 많은 사람들요. 그래서 배경에 대해서는 크게 신경 쓰지 않겠습니다.

그냥 많은 사람들이 한 곳에 모여 별 탈 없이 막춤 출 수 있는 장소를 원합니다.



장소는 서울 남대문 (The Southern Gate)앞이며, 1월 29일 화요일 오후 6시에

함께 춤을 출것입니다.

어디서 만날지는 이 이메일에 첨부된 사진을 보시면 됩니다.



물론 많은 분들이 서울에서 전혀 가깝지 않은 곳에 살고 계신 것은 압니다만,

대부분이 서울에 사시니까 큰 무리가 모이기에 가장 적합한 장소인 것 같습니다.



이번 일은 제가 아무데나 퍼뜨려 광고하는 것이 아닙니다.

이것은 제 홈페이지에 가입을 하셨거나 저에게 이메일을 보내주신 분들께만
개인적으로

보내드리는 것입니다. 저는 사람들이 많이 모여 굉장히 큰 무리를 만들 수
있기를 바라므로,

첨부된 문서를 출력해서 가능하시면 미리 서명해 주세요.

프린트가 되지 않으시면 제가 직접 나눠드릴 수도 있지만,

죄송하게도 저한테는 영어로 된 양식 밖에 없으니까 양해 바랍니다.



그리고 동영상에 나올 모든 분들을 확인하기 위해서,

춤추기 전에는 참여 하시는 분들 각자 제가 사진을 찍어서 문서에 붙이게 될
것입니다.



18세 미만의 미성년자의 경우, 반드시 부모님이나 보호자와 같이 오셔서

문서에 서명해주시고 사진을 같이 찍으셔야 합니다.

이것은 동영상을 촬영해서 쓰려면 제가 따라야 하는 규칙이기 때문입니다.

좋은 소식이 있는데요, 서명을 하고 저와 함께 춤을 추는 사람 수 당

제 후원자 측에서 자선 단체에 기부를 하기로 했다는 것입니다.



같이 오실 친구는 자유롭게 초대하세요.

그냥 문서에 서명하는 것이 괜찮기만 하면 됩니다.



약속 장소에 도착하시면, 동영상에서 춤췄던 사람처럼 보이는 사람만 찾으세요.

그냥 와서 인사해 주시구요. 저는 그리 찾기 어렵지 않을거에요.



한 사람씩 절차(문서 서명, 사진 찍기)를 거치는 데에는 시간이 조금 걸릴
것이므로,

얼마나 많은 분이 오시는가에 따라 적절한 때에 제가 여러분의 문서를 받는 것을

중단하고 동영상을 찍어야 할 수도 있습니다.

여러분이 조금 일찍 와주시면 제가 좀 더 편하겠죠?



촬영은 남대문에 불이 켜졌을 때 하려고 합니다.

그 날은 일몰 시각이 오후 5시 51분이므로, 곧 불이 켜지고 춤추는 사람들이

뚜렷이 보일 정도의 빛도 있기를 기대합니다. 그런데 만약 어두워지기 시작하고

남대문의 불도 들어오지 않는다면, 그냥 그 상태에서 춤을 춰야 될 것 같네요.



모든 촬영은 10분도 안 걸릴 것으로 예상합니다.

구도를 잡아놓고 15초 정도 춤을 춘 다음, 잘 나와야 되니까 한 번 더 찍고,

그리고나서 이렇게 저렇게 재미있게 변형도 시켜 볼 것입니다.



음악은 틀지 않습니다. 편집할 때 더해지는 것이죠. 음악을 크게 틀어놓으면
복잡해지기만

하니까요. 그저 여러분 머릿속에 있는 음악에 맞춰 마음대로 춤을 춰주세요.



그런데 우리가 찍을 촬영분이 최종적으로 실제 동영상에 포함될지는 보장할 수
없습니다.

선택할 수 있는 촬영분이 아주 많을 것이므로 어떤 것들은 사용되지 않을
것입니다.

보여줍시다!^^)



여러분들은 개인적으로 카메라를 가져 오셔도 됩니다.

촬영을 마치고 나서도 제가 사진도 찍는 등등 여러 가지를 위해 거기 있을
테니까요.

여러분들 사진이나 동영상에서도 제가 같이 춤을 춰드릴 수 있으니까 망설이지
말고 부탁하세요.
