I went out earlier tonight with some members of the opposite sex. Two of them were new acquaintances to me and one in particular I was immediately attracted to for the reasons that people are attracted to each other.
A few hours into the night and the person lights up a cigarette. To me, this person instantly became someone who I would never get into a relationship with.
How would you feel if a person you were attracted to were to be a smoker? |

Smoking isn't just a nasty habit while doing the deed, it's nasty for a long time after as well. Not dating or anything of the sort, someone came to exchange modems from Internet company and they had to make sure it was working. I first thought they guy had been working hard all day and so that stench was coming from his feet and dried sweat or something... no, it took one breath in my general direction and I knew what it was, "smoker breath."
What's worse than smoker breath? smoker ass. Ever be the person next in line to use a bathroom after someone who heavily smokes used it? I'll pass, it will need about 30minutes of airing before I want vomit what I came in there to shyte
Isn't this thread a little off topic since it's implicating all smokers though? |

No I wouldn't, cause hoping they would die (like all smokers) would kinda kill (pun intended) the relationship |

Thanks dude, appreciate the love.
The thing is, smokers are indirectly responsible for the deaths of individuals due to second hand smoke. Is it really wrong to want the same to happen to them? |

you've used the 'cool guy' smiley twice now in this thread, as if to say 'ooh, i just totally burned you.' in the future, i'd recommend holding off on that particular emoticon until you actually have something clever to say.
the thing is, 'you smoked a cigarette. you deserve a firing squad.' is a pretty fascist way to look at things. i'm going to go smoke a cigarette right now, and i'm going to really enjoy this one, because i'll be thinking about how happy i am that i'm not as much of a miserable *beep* as you are.
allow me to accentuate that point with a 'cool guy' emoticon.
ooohh... i bet that stung. |

I think you are reading a bit too much into the emoticons (what this one telling ya?)

Who said a firing squad? I think that is a bit too fast. I was thinking of something a little slower. My grandfather died of lung cancer, that way kinda sucks. Enjoy your cigarette. |

I agree...It's disgusting, and whenever you see the person afterwards, the image in your mind is of them smoking..
Ohwell..there are enough attractive women out there who don't smoke to counteract for this slight prejudice. |

I don't see the need to make this into a war like some of you guys are doing here- it's a personal preference and a lifestyle choice.
I personally wouldn't date a smoker. I wouldn't like how the person smelled or tasted (when kissing; don't get perverted!). Also I'm really into exercise and look for women who are similarly inclined. Becuase of this I wouldn't want to date a heavy or even moderate drinker either.
But if someone wants to smoke or date a smoker, that's none of my business. I may think they are wrong, but I respect their right to make their own decision. If everyone did the same this world would be a better place. |
