I saw this in a proposed contract and I haven't been able to find a mention of it elsewhere.
Just wondering if it actually applies to foreign workers. |

I've never heard of it in Korea. In the west Worker's Comp pays you some income if you're injured on the job. |

It is like workers compensation plans in the west. The employer is required to make 100% of the premium payments.
There is also employment insurance but if you are on an E visa you are exempt from paying into it because you can never collect it. |
