well sparkling caused a lot of laughs,as did hub of asia and hiseoul.

so whats your slogan,any ideas?

also, what are the most fantastic existing slogans for other cities in korea that you have come across.

Naples is practically a garbage dump and its sea is awash with cholera, so a comparison with Seoul seems unfair (to Seoul!).

believe me...tongyoung made naples look like venice.
it stank so bad in its stagnant harbour i was sick.

but i went there cos of the misleading naples of korea tag.

I think the 'Chimeric Daegu' ones are kinda funny. Isn't a chimera some kind of she-goat-devil folklore creature...?

I've heard that Yeosu is the 'Naples of Korea.'

To be fair, it's a pretty nice place, I've visited twice and it's beautiful in summer. As with the rest of Korea (baring some parts of Seoul) the town itself is the same old gs25's / lotte burger / ktf stores and is as ugly and boring as sin.

isnt it Colourful Daegu


one thing dagu is not!!!...very very drab,grey blocks of flats,etc etc


and tongyeoung is d..ef the naples,maybe korean cities are stealing their marketing lies from each other,mmm.

No it's Chimeric. Check out the posters at Seoul Station

And Yeosu is also claimed as 'The Naples of Korea.'

well i googled..its colourful daegu,was there two weeks ago,colourful daegu posters everywhere

theres even a "Colourful Daegu Festival"

and a Colourful Daegu Love Concert

and Thu 25 Sep, Colourful Daegu Pre-Championships Meeting (Asian Grand Prix) Daegu (KOR).

He was at the opening ceremony of "Colourful Athletics Meeting 2007". Daegu is known as South Korea's fashion capital and is at the forefront of South ...blah blah blah

tongyeoung is naples.....or venice too it seems..

Oh Naples. As a kid my dad would delight me with this tidbit from his time spent there. " Naples is the only place where I have seen a rat chase a horse."
