whenever i transfer larger files ie. over 20 000kb to my usb stick or mp3 player, the transfer freezes halfway. when i try to cancel the transfer, it doesn't respond and the icons on my desktop disappear. i end up having to restart my computer. i was finally able to transfer the files by going into safe mode. smaller files transfer fine into my usb in regular mode.

i couldn't find any info on google.

any ideas on why the transfers of larger files freeze up?

Sorry I have no idea but have you tried formating it. when ever my usbs start acting funny a format normally fixes them up. the other thing to try is a different computer, that will at least norrow it down to a computer issue or a usb issue
