You may have noticed that I've been pretty vocal in my oppostion to LMB's plans to turn the Saemangeum tidal flats into 'the Dubai of the North-East' and to turn the Nakdong and Han rivers into a canal.

I'm curious about what the Korean members on ESLcafe think about the two projects. If you too have taken an interest in the issues you may have a lot more information than me about the plans, especially given that, being native Korean speakers, it'll be much easier for you to get to the bottom of both the pro and anti arguments.

So, JAD, Doggyji, Markhan, Koamerican and other Koreans/Kyopos, please let us know what you think.

Cheers,

Duncan

Yep, there's lots of stuff on this thread.

Polite question for the Mods

Hi Mods, did one of you guys move this thread from the general discussion forum to the current events forum, or did I mistakenly start it off here?

As it's a Korean issue and I was asking questions directly to Korean readers, I thought it would be more appropriate in the general discussion thread.

Cheers
