|
|
Just wondering if anyone from my state has done this.
State police dept. says that the check takes approx. 7-14 business days. I have no idea about the apostille.
Has anyone had any success with all this in the state of Virginia yet? |

Are the two of you from VA?
I also did the CRC before the new regulations so I was wondering about the apostille.
Thanks for the quick response. I'll be back soon actually... |

CRC doesn't take too long in Virginia. 2 weeks... maybe less.
The apostille is what concerns me. |

I'd assume that if you were in-state and went to Richmond, you could do it quickly, same-day kind of thing. Outside of Richmond, doing it by mail, probably longer. From Korea, no clue.
2 weeks for a CRC? Do you know if you have to be in-state for that, or is that the time needed from overseas as well? |

I just found that you can get the Apostille at:
Virginia
Office of Secretary of Commonwealth
Authentications Division
830 East Main Street, 14th Floor
Richmond, VA 23219
804-786-2441
http://www.soc.state.va.us
Fee: $10.00
Designated Authority: Secretary of the Commonwealth; Chief Clerk, Office of the Secretary of Commonwealth
Here is a link to the form:
http://www.soc.state.va.us/OfficialDocuments/Authentications/AuthenticationRequest.pdf
Now, the question is: Can you order your CRC from Va State Police, and then have them send that to get the Apostille, all from within Korea? |

pkang,
thank you SO much for that info. I can get to Richmond pretty easily after I get back. I'm flying home next week. Hopefully it will not take 5 days if I go to their office in person!
Thanks again... |
