|
|
How to view Hangul characters:
1) From the pulldown menus select "View" (V)
2) Next, select "Encoding" (D)
3) Finally, select "Hanguk-o" (usually second on the menu)
How to insert Hangul charaters into a page:
1) First, select "new topic" or "reply".
2) From the pulldown menus select "View" (V)
3) Next, select "Encoding" (D)
4) Finally, select "Hanguk-o" (usually second on the menu).
5) Use the "Korean/English" key located immediately on the right of the spacebar to switch between Korean and English characters.
6) Submit.
NB) You MUST change the encoding before writing your messsage! If you forgot to go through Steps 1-4 and then try to change the Encoding, you WILL lose your work. To avoid typing it all again, save your work (select message body with mouse then Ctrl+C) then go through steps 1-4. Finally, paste your work back into the new page (Ctrl+V).

You could also right-click on the browser page, move down to encoding, and then select Korean. Seems a bit faster than the view method... |

When you type Korean on an English Windows operating system you have to make sure the Input Method Editor is set to KO for Korean (as well as the web browser's encoding). For windows XP this can be found under control panel Language, or if your computer is set for it, asan icon on the right side of the taskbar next to the box with time/date and various icons. |
