This just came to my mind.
I'm a bit of an activist myself and I think this kind of non-profit oriented approach to dealing with the language barrier will benefit both visitors and locals equally. Those who are 'functionally bilingual' -- I'm talking about the ones that have working social, communication skills in both the English and Korean languages could share their contact info/term of stay in Korea/availability/area of knowledge, so new comers to Korea can help reduce their anxiety level and enjoy their stay.
As for my area of knowledge, I have interest or experience in business law, ethics, buddhism, anatomy, physiology and technical communications. I used to volunteer at Tom Baker Cancer Center in Calgary and Canadian Cancer Society in Windsor, ON.
What do you think? Any suggestions?
p.s. 참고로 저는 4월 말이나 5월 초에 한국에 갑니다.
