Apple korea is having a one day sale today (just found out about it randomly browsing).

Prices are comparable to having something shipped out from the states + duty tax.

And speaking of duty tax, do any of you have any recent experiences of
receiving a shipped laptop? I checked the laptop sticky, but some of the
older posts say you could/will be charged at least 20% duty through customs.

The korean customs page states, "The Customs duty rate on notebook computers is 0%, but the VAT of 10% on the CIF value (the price+freight+insurance fee) is charged." (I guess new policy?)

Anyways, is there any way to get around the VAT? Any freight companies
you have had luck with as far as not payying duty/VAT?

thanks for the help!
