I was looking for quiz materials at Funtrivia.com (which I cannot recall registering for) and clicked on 'game shows'. What I discovered is more addictive than heroin, cocaine and nicotine combined.
There are two 'game show' quizes, whereby you compete against real opponents from all over the world. Up to 4 players can compete and slots always fill up quickly because the site presumably gets so much traffic because it's so addictive. It shows your username and the flag of the country you're in. It's in English so naturally most of the players are from English-speaking countries, but I've played against an Israeli, a Swede and a Serb also.
It has two games and the site says more are to be added. They're both general knowledge/multiple choice games. For more info, register and play.
WARNING: ADDICTIVE |

Been there, done that.
Anyone played Second Life yet? There's was a nice piece about it on one of the western news media services this weekend. People can actually build second lives there. |

They should merge WoW and Second Life. I imagine it would be fun to roll through that game with a mage.
"Hi! Where are you from?"
"I'm from The Den."

| Pretty cool games. But have you tried the "Attack" app on Facebook? It's basically playing "Risk" online. Really addictive and a huge time burner. |

Back when the media was going nuts over Second Life I tried it and found
it boring. I tried it again a few months ago and now it's boring with audio
chat. Later I heard a news story that said they were having trouble getting
new people involved. |

I do not know whether to thank you or hate you!
I have definitely become quite the social recluse since discovering it a few days ago! |

Everyone who is so desperately unsatisfied with real life (and can afford a computer) is already paying. Er, "playing". |
