I've sent my documents to Korea for my E2 visa and am wondering how long it typically takes before I get my issuance number. It's been over a week now and I haven't heard any updates from my school so I'm getting into panic mode since I'm supposed to be there for end of February.

Also, my bf is Spanish and he also wants to come to Korea in hopes of getting some sorta job (not teaching related) so is it possible for him to get a work visa, similar to a holidaymaker in the UK and Australia to work in S.Korea? I've tried to look for this info online but it seems really hard to get specific answers.
