Its not the first of its kind. But it kind of got me thinking regarding the peer pressure that young muslims must be under should they wish to show their allegiance or patriotism towards their country.

It seems to me that should they be forthright and proud of their Britishness they face been ostracised by their more religious hardline Muslim peers.

It is in such situations where I think the 'moderate' muslims must really show their metal and reveal these people for what really are. But once again are these people in such a minority that they too would face an internal backlash from their Muslim brotherhood. Vicious cycle and a very sad and problematic sitaution indeed.

These are the men arrested in connection.

Let's test people's knowledge of islam. The dude on the far left, he has a wound on his head. Where did it come from and how is it received by the "community"?

In English it's called a prayer bump....but in Arabic they have a different word for it.....

Correct! It is a mark made from rubbing your head against the ground while you intently pray. Those who have it are regarded as extremely devout and worthy of respect.
