what did you guitar players do when you moved up there? did you bring yours with you? did it survive the trip? i assume you have to use headphones when playing since it would probably be loud for a small apartment building. im referring to electric guitars. would it be a better idea to just buy one up there? |

I'm wondering the same thing myself..... I have a rare Japanese made '97 Squire Supersonic (it's actually very quite decent), and am reluctant to leave it behind or sell it.... but I also want to bring my Nord Lead II keyboard as well, which might actually more than 50 lbs...... Hmm. Probably the prices will be similar, I suppose, or even cheaper, as many guitars are made in Korea nowadays aren't they? But I don't really want to part with my axe,... what to do... |

Bring it!
But you will probably have to use an effects processor as a pre-amp. And headphones. |

Skeptical:
Japanese Supersonics rule. I have a Japanese Jagstang. Any Squiers built in Japan are great wee guitars. Bring your guitar with you. Just so i can meet you and play it. |

Why do you think the whole Fender Squire range was invented? Because of the quality of Japanese fender clones in the 80's. Especially the Tokai Strat. The king of Japanese copies. |

Bring your guitar.
I play the bass and drums. If you're in Seoul, contact me. |

If you kiss your guitar now and then then that kind of relationship is too close to miss. When you return in years to come you might not love her as much. |

Guitars are temperamental(Ray Charles said that of keyboards as well). Left my 87 Squire strat behind and bought a Stein Berger in Korea. It says it's "Made in USA" and sounds konglishee to me. However, that guitar took me 3 years to get used to and it's strat shaped. Ended up buying 4(3 Korean made Fenders of excellent quality) in Korea.
Also, guitars and effects stomp boxes are way more expensive(I can buy a US strat at Guitar Center for 3/5 hundred dollars; Korea will charge you more).
Bring your axe. |
