Nope.
Once you leave, it would cost them 10x more to even try to sue you overseas compared to what they actually "lost" from you leaving. |

Sued just for running? No.
Sued for running and trashing the school-supplied apartment? Yes.
In the latter case, the teacher was not coming back to Korea anyway, but the school sued him in absentia anyway. From what I gather, the ruling was noted in his immigration file, so if he ever did decide to come back, they would make sure he pays up before he could leave again. Never came back to my knowledge. |
