I have a 7-month contract which ends in May because I'm finishing up the contract of a runner. But the E-2 I got when I got this job doesn't expire until October 31st.
What does this mean (practically speaking)? |

It means:
you can stay working at the same school until Oct 31 without any extra paperwork
or
you can get a LOR and change employers
or
you can leave at the end of your contract and go home. |

Basically when you stop working for the school the school has to tell immigration you are not working there anymore and you then have a month to leave the country or something like that... |
