My boiler seems to have gone awry. Overnight, it got really cold in my apartment, and I have no hot water. On my control panel, the center orange light is flashing, and I roughly translated that to "water replenishment". Someone told me it probably has something to do with my boiler, but everything is in Korean, and that big box kind of terrifies me.

I am hoping someone can tell me what to do so I can get heat and hot water back. My landlord said he probably can't make it here until 10am tomorrow morning, as he lives in Suwon. I want to shower and do my dishes before then! Crying or Very sad

I've attached photos of the boiler. One of the photos shows step by step instructions to do something, but I'm not sure what. There are also some nozzles etc at the bottom of the boiler. Took a photo of those, too.

Help me! Crying or Very sad I want to have a hot shower today!

Here are the photos.

They might not be in the right order, but surely they will help someone?
Thanks!

I can't exactly make it out, but I'm pretty sure it says "Call your landlord".

Read my thread, and learn how to refill your water:

http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=108518&highlight=ondol

But first, look for a reset switch. Usually that's all it needs when both bath water and floor heat go out. Mine is a red switch on the front.

If it needs water, that valve might be located inside of the box, like my old one was.

There's a little spigot or valve on there somewhere. Probably made out of brass or plastic or aluminum (that's vague, but best I can describe) and pointing if not directly towards the floor, at least in that direction. Probably somewhere near where the water pipe comes into the boiler.

If you open that you'll hear water running through the pipes (don't open full blast). Keep your hand hovering somewhere near valve, and when water starts shooting out through some tube somewhere on the boiler close the valve, turn the system back on, and you'll be good to go.

(Post some clearer photos and I can give a better answer)

Just had an idea.

Post the name and model number and I might get a clearer photo somewhere on the net.

Oh my goodness, I think I did it! It was exactly like you said it would be. There was a spigot thing, with a piece of paper that matched my flashy orange light (water replenishment). So I turned it really slowly, heard a weird scary noise, then heard water running, then the water came out of a tube by me, I reset the system and the flashy orange light is gone! I'm going to wait a while, and see if I can get hot water. My fingers are crossed! Woohoo! I owe you one! Smile

Do you know how long it roughly takes for the hot water to work again? Should I wait a while?

It's immediate. No tanks like back home.
