Yeah, no, no its not.
I've done the hagwon thing and I didn't go blind into that deal so I'm not about to go blind into a 2 year contract with a international school.
I'm just surprised that no one has any info on international schools.
Would anyone know of a forum for international schools? |

It is near Bundang. It is a very large campus that has an English only teaching style. I have been there and it seemed nice. It is very expensive for students to attend. The teachers seemed normal enough. |

KIS is a legit international school with a U.S. curriculum, operating in a new campus in Pangyo, essentially part of Bundang. It's a good school, considered one of the better internatl schools, along with SFS, SIS and YISS. Most of the students are of Korean ethnicity, but they are fluent in English and have a foreign passport or foreign residency. When they graduate, they go abroad for university.
BUT for many years, KIS was in Seoul. After they moved to the new campus, they converted their old campus into a preschool/ kindergarten. It's part of KIS, but it's a stand-alone English language early childhood education school, so if you're applying for a job teaching really young kids, make sure which campus you'll be teaching at.
The international school (grades K-12) is called the Pangyo campus. The preschool/ kindy is called the Gaepo campus. |
