The giants rock. The patriots are still badass but they deserve to lose because Bill Bilichek is a cheater.

Congrats to the Giants.

Pats were a great team for 8 games but not that special since then since their defense really wasn't that good . They were a 13-3 team that managed to go 16-0. Great teams get better towards the end of the season or get hot in the play offs . Not the Patriots.

The other winners here are the 1972 Dolphins and Joe Montana. (Johnny Untis and Otto Graham are sort of from a different era. so they don't figure in to the QB completion here )

The Giants played well and were fortunate.

My Pats did not disgrace themselves. They lost with honor. *sob*

I knew the Giants would win right after they beat Green Bay.
They were hungrier and more aggressive after they lost to NE last time.

time for NE to rebuild o line. they got stomped. and not in a small way.

greatest offense ever stifled. strahan's legacy both grew and was cemented today.

brady's questioning of the giants player assessment of how many the pat's will score now goes down as one of the all-time OOPS of bulletin board material.

They lost history.

The Patriots defense wasn't really that good and their offensive line was overrated.

I am not a 49ers fan but Bill Walsh was the greatest coach in NFL history. He said it all a late game pass rush is what is most important.

The 49ers were the greatest team ever. Maybe much of it was luck since they managed not to play teams with great defenses in the superbowl. Nevertheless on what is measurable the 49ers were the greatest team ever.

Damn straight! Too bad they've sucked the last few years though. Like any team that does so well, there's going to be a rebuilding process. The question now is: Will NE lose many of their good players?

NE has old line backers. They will need to replace at least two of them. You could see it in the superbowl the Patriots defense couldn't make a big play. They will need at least one more db. Otherwise they are looking at 10-6 next year.

They also need some more athletic players on the offensive line.

Profootballweekly will probably say something like this.

I am not a Patriot fan nevertheless I can understand what they lost. I feel bad for them and their fans. It was more than just a loss. If the Pats were 14-2 this superbowl loss would not hurt as much.

but the 49ers were cheats too. debartelo et al cheated on the salary cap.

yes, the pat's o-line was no match for the giants D. maybe we've seen the last of that cute credit card commercial. the entire giant D was black. the all-white pats o line was like the 7th calvary around brady's general (couldn't cut the ) custard.
