It's buffet style shabu shabu and it's called Shabumi.
It costs 13,500 per person and there's a great buffet selection.

Want to try it? Get off the green line (#2 line) at Mullae and walk outside exit #4. It's inside HomePlus, on the second floor, at the back of the food court.

Shabu Shabu was big in Taiwan. About the same price as I remember.

Recommending a shabu shabu restaurant in a mall is like giving directions to a 7-11. Laughing

Isn't it supposed to be giving directions USING 7-11 or McDonalds is silly?

Where you are going should be recognizable, using a common landmark getting their is the dumb thing to do.

Let me rephrase that: recommending a shabu shabu restaurant in a mall is like recommending a 7-11.

I had it for the first time in Beijing and have failed to find any shabu-shabu restaurants in Seoul that come even close.

beijing kicks ass. beef and lamb, and two different broths at the same time (cool pot with a divider), and like 4 dipping sauces.

but i'd say i prefer the korean variant over the japanese (mmm, plain water!) one

You gather the stuff yourself from a buffet line.

I had my first Shabu Shabu at a diner-like restaurant in Duncheon-dong, near Olympic park, with my CELTA class a couple days ago. The shabu shabu was delicious.

It's THAT good. Wink

The best shabu-shabu I've tasted cost 25,000 for 2 and was near Bang-i station on line #5. The name is; 방이 샤브샤브 칼국수 Very Happy

My Korean friend also said it's the best in town.
