First of all, far too many people in Itaewon last night. I personally dislike crowds and last night was just insane. What made it all the more annoying was all the "adults" dressed up in costumes. Halloween is for kids! You are not children. You should have outgrown playing dress up a long ago. When I see someone all done up for halloween I just think it's pathetic. You don't look cute or interesting - you look like a retard. If you want to get in the spirit of the day, stay home and rent a scary movie. I can hear the attacks now. "You're a killjoy." "You have no sense of fun." "You're a dickhead." Wrong (at least on the first two counts). My sense of fun is watching kids go by dressed up for halloween. They're adorable. It's their day. But to still be doing it thirty years later is just retarded.

Back home would you still go out trick or treating? Of course not. Why? Because it's for friggin' children.

Halloween gives every girl an excuse to dress like a skank for a day.

So while you were at home alone watching movies grandpa, Im with my crew in one of Seouls hottest night spots VIP lounge partying with beautiful women all night wearing next to nothing. The bottles of Grey Goose and Johnnie Walker arent going to waste when IPIC is in town. What a beta OP is.

I pretty much agree with the OP--I personally can't stand seeing adults dressing up and acting like fools on Halloween. It's childish and weird to me. **Major exception: when parents do it for their kids or teachers dress up for their students(child students) then I think it's great!
That being said, people can do what they want to do... I'm an English instructor at a Uni and one of my co-teachers is having Halloween party on Thurs. She says guests HAVE to dress up in something unique and exciting or they won't be allowed in--well looks like I won't be going.

The thing is, I love Halloween--for the spookiness and mystery of it. I love classic scary movies and hearing scary stories. It's just a shame that so many so called "adults" use it as yet another excuse to act like an idiot and get drunk at a bar or party.

Going to Itaewon last night a big mistake. I've been to Itaewon once on halloween party night, and it just intensified my general dislike of foreigners in Korea.

There was a middle-aged woman dressed up like a giant pot leaf/stoner. Did you see her? We were in Starbucks around 8 pm and saw her walking by. Wow, talk about stopping traffic, for all of the wrong reasons.

One thing I realize this time of year is how much more important Halloween is to North Americans compared to other countries. Being from NZ, I don't get the enthusiasm for costumes or pumpkin carving or whatever, but live and let live, I say. It's not like you step out your door, trip over and accidentally find yourself in Itaewon.

Unless you live there, I guess.

Awesome. This I support. Maybe it will start a dialogue in Korea about how pot is a better and safer alternative to alcohol.

OP is correct, and I see IPIC is still using my words because he has no personality and leeches off mine. This proves he neither has a girlfriend or a life whatsoever.

Nope, I have a girlfriend. She's about 10 years younger than you, with model looks, or 30 years younger than what your ajumma wife looks like. ROFL. Laughing

Interesting logic there Dan.

Did you learn that in spy training before you moved to Seoul to work as a secret agent for the US government? You know for someone that makes 250k and has such a prestigious title one would think you'd be able to score something better than that ugly ajumma of yours. Laughing

For all the money(you claim to be earning), you still think "Jonnie Walker" is good whisky? ha ha ha, cheap blended crap sold to idiots with no class or no appreciation, with fancy advertising. I wouldn't drink it if my life depended on it. If you had half the class you and your special needs chimp girlfriend claim to have, you would at least choose a single malt. Glenfidich is a poor example, but even that pisses on poor blended swill like Jonnie Walker. What do you do for special occasions? Crack open the Balentines? What a propper Charlie!

Can everyone please ignore IPIC. He's the biggest bore to ever appear on this forum. Ignore him.

That's what my crew wanted to drink, I went to have a good time not argue over which alcohol we should drink. Am I really going to turn down free bottles of the stuff when I'm friends with the owner? Besides, I'm more a beer person myself. So save the whiskey snob stuff for your fat bald ESL buddies at Seoul Pub. I had a blast last night in a VIP lounge with scores of beautiful women dressed with next to nothing. LOL @ your jealousy.
