I've been harrassed twice now by a crazy paper collector guy on the purple line.

He's a young guy, smells putrid, and both times he has got up in my face and asked "How are you today?" I've come right back with the old "I'm fine thank you." Then he points at my chest and asked "Do you understand? I understand." Regardless of whether I say yes or no, he keeps asking, then tries to ask me other (unintelligible) stuff, all the while getting more and more agitated and aggressive.

Anyone else run into this guy?

Yeah, that dude reads a lot of pretty deep western philosophical works when he's not busy jamming his finger in someones chest. I once asked him why he hasn't bathed in years and he related to me that it was his reaction to modernism.

Don't think I've met him, but I do get an ajeossi on line 6 at least two mornings a week who gets in front of me and gives a really low bow and a "good morning".

I get the impression that he really respects 'Americans', i.e. any white person. Maybe it's a Korean War thing.

Maybe you could wave an old copy of a newspaper in front of his face, and then through it down the train. Hope he chases after it.

The danger is he might know 'fetch', and bring it back to you for another throw.

What's a Liverpool kiss? Is that where you are drunk and rioting after a soccer match and attack vulnerable people for no reason?

One time on Line 6, I was standing up as all seats were taken, except for one, right next to an older Korean man. He looked at me, with his legs crossed, and smiled. Then he patted the seat gently next to him and said "Come here."

Kind of like he was saying "Come here big guy, I'll take care of you..."

I deeply regreted not taking his offer, almost as an insult to him, but it did seem a bit weird. He seemed like a really nice ajussi and I am sure he had a lot of stories that he wanted to tell me about. Oh well, next time I won't be so uptight.

Us Yanks, so uptight all the time... Oh well.

If the guy is 6'2" or so, a little on the heavy side, and slobbers while he talks, I think he lives in Cheonho on line 5. One time I was walking home and he came up from behind and started talking to me and kept saying either "WHOOOaaaah busy busy" or maybe it was "WHOOOaaah Mississippi" and kept asking me if I understood. He kept doing it over and over again. I think he's either mental or was just messing with me, but he invited me to go to someplace behind that big gas station across the street from E-Mart. I didn't know if he was just wanting a friend, if he wanted to kick my ass, if he was gay, or what, so I just tried to be polite, walk faster, and get the Hell outta there.

Since it happened at the same exact place where the dude in Boy George makeup hit me in the face last February, I thought the two might have been in some Culture Club and were just messing with me. The place where both incidents occurred (three months apart) is such a boring spot where you wouldn't expect anything crazy to happen. But it's sounding like it was just a weird coincidence that Lunatic Lightning struck twice in the same place.

Whereas Boy George is shows a psychotic violence toward foreign dudes, I don't know if Whoa Busy Busy hates us or lusts after us, but he's every bit as nutty as Boy.

BK, was gonna get that mixed up with slicing the sides of the mouth and then stepping on the toes or making them scream, then I realised that's a "Chelsea smile" me thinks!

When we were in Seoul a while back we were on the subway back to Gimpo. It was a Monday morning and we were sitting down. We noticed some haggard looking woman standing across from us, she looked right rough and skinny and pale and she was staring and my gf. My gf pointed this out so I just said ignore it, but this woman who looked a bit like a demon by now kept staring straight at my gf.

My gf was saying 'Im a bit scared here' but I just said 'shut up', but then the woman came over and stood right next to my gf. Then she started saying things to her in Korean. No idea what, but the manic look in her eyes and her tone were quite intimidating, she had the demeanour of a mentally ill person.

We moved down a bit so we were sitting surrounded by people but the woman came, and when the guy to my gfs left got off, she sat down next to her! She looked like she was getting progressively angry and we were new to Korea at the time, so this was really disturbing. She kept saying things in Korean in a threatening way to my gf and all the time she looked like a demented witch, like something from a Shakespeare play.

I was shaken from my amusement when my gf started telling me she was scared, so I suggested we just hall ass down a couple of carriages to get away from this nutter. But she followed us. I was turning around saying 'go away' etc but she kept following us, as far as we could go basically.

We got to Gimpo and I thought that would be that, and we were laughing etc as we got off and onto the lift. We got onto the motorised walkways and moved at a fair pace (we were running late) and were shocked at this woman. So guess what happened next? I looked back one last time and the crazy bint had been folllowing us!!!!!

Our speed had lost her, and I looked around and she had given up stalking us and was just sort of standing there, looking dazed. As she was just in a t-shirt and sweat pants and looked like she couldnt control her own bowels Im guessing she didnt have a plane to catch. And clearly not much else to do with her day either, seeing as she decided to stalk us for 20 mins on the subway and then continue halfway on the walkway to Gimpo airport. Nuts!!

No idea what the hell she was saying to us or just in general what she was doing.
