I read all these glowing reviews of the french village south river, Soerae or something. It's near the express bus terminal. Anyway, I checked it out. I found one street with some French flags. There was one french restaurant. There was a french bakery that looked like it was out of business. And a Korean bakery (not sure if they had croissants with hotdogs and creamed corn). And there was the "attitude on loan from France" cafe called "I hate".
Is there actually anything more to the place than that? |

It sounds like you found the place, but you should have poked around a little more. Try up and down the hill on both sides of the street.
But yeah, it's by no means a village, just a little strip. |

I live in Seocheo-dong, and I heard it was the French dong (hmm... that sounded weird) but the frenchiest things I've noticed around here are Paris Baguette and my body odor... But I've never been to that street. Where exactly is it? |
