For some reason I always find male cats more friendly and sociable.
Female cats can be lovely too, but I've found them more fickle in their temperment. They can love you, bite you, purr, glare and flick their tails at you all at the same time. And that's even after being fixed.

Males seem to be very easy going and laidback.

In the end I don't necessarily prefer one over the other. I just love my cat as is.

Not saying you have to pick up a male cat, or anything!
