I just got back from Japan and thought I would find some great deals on storage media in Akihabara, but was pretty disappointed. A 4 TB enclosure with 4-1TB drives was in the neighborhood of about 2.3 million won. Basically, you're looking at 550,000 won per terabyte.

A 32 GB flash drive was around 400,000 won. The cheapest 8GB drive was 39,000 won, which I thought was pretty reasonable. And the 2.5 portable drives, even if bought separately from their cases, were roughly twice the price of what you'd see in Yongsan--a 40GB 2.5 sold for 80,000 won!

One thing I did like, though, was a slot to insert both 3.5 and 2.5 HDDs, which works similar to a floppy drive. This gadget went for about 50,000 won. Is this available in Yongsan??
