Clinton and Obama address economic fears
By John M. Broder and Jeff Zeleny Published: February 18, 2008

EAU CLAIRE, Wisconsin: Senators Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama intensified their populist appeals Monday, responding to the economic anxiety gripping Americans and pushing the Democratic Party further from the business-friendly posture once championed by Bill Clinton.

Economic fear mongering

Well Obama can talk about going into Pakistan .

Which

1 ) The US was already doing

2) Which made put pressure on Musharif and made him look bad.

Tell me what was he thinking when he made such a comment. Maybe it was that he didn't know or perhaps wasn't interested enough in the subject to find out.

That was real smart wasn't it?

Iran has been out to get the US for years. So at least McCain had a good point. Not like Iran doesn't deserve it.

The president then said: "And God willing, with the force of God behind it, we shall soon experience a world without the United States and Zionism," according to a quote published by Iran's state news outlet, the Islamic Republic News Agency.

I know lots of populist Democrats like to blame the US first.

One can understand why McCain said it. It wasn't something just out of the blue.

So what's Obama's excuse?

Democrats not only are they clueless on national security now they have become clueless on the economy as well.

And democracy is going so well in Pakistan now. I wonder if we'll ever hear what really happened to Benazir Bhutto.

Bill was pro-corporate, not pro-business. You could easy make the argument that a national health insurance is pro-small business, and business in general.

so that means Obama was right to say what he did?

Did what he say help things?

If one is to believe that then it must be so that Musharif is a greater enemy than Ayatollah Ali Khamani.

So is Musharif a bigger enemy than Ayatollah Ali Khamani?

(Liberal democratic populists might not even know who he is. It is not like they are interested in national security anyway. )

When your candidate makes a mistake one ought to admit it. Otherwise they just look like a hack. Idea

Wow, you mean like when McCain sang "bomb bomb bomb Iran"?

That will make a great commercial for the general election. Smile

Well at least that mistake was understandable.

What was Obama's excuse or your excuse for what there is no excuse for?

No McCain ought to ask Clinton (cause I was married to the president ) or Obama (cause I am young and likeable ) why they should be president. Now that would make a great commercial for the general election.

What would McCain's reason for being President be?

1. I'm a Crazy, Old, White man. Stick with what you know
2. I was a POW in our last failed war
3. The Dems will kill you
4. Because Bush did such a good job and I'll keep it up
5. I'm a sellout and America loves a sellout

Actually, its doing fairly well today.

The Bhutto faction destroyed both the Musharraf and Islamist factions.

Cause he has a clue about national security and the Democrats do not.

But in the Vietnam war he wouldn't choose early release. Say what you want shows character.
