I've been to Youngsan a couple of times now, casually looking for a digital multimedia projector. I've only been able to find one shop that sells them, though, in the Digital Living building, and the guy there doesn't speak any English, and even with a Korean woman helping me out would not show me the boxes or any documentation which might reveal the specifications.

Is there anyone more familiar with Yongsan (or elsewhere) who might be able to point me in the right direction? Also, any knowledge as to pricing here versus North America? Thanks.

Joenja Land is the place to go. I was looking for a projector late last year and found quite a few there. The prices seem steeper than in the U.S. I ended up buying one there, as I happened to be going home for a month and I couldn't find the one I wanted here in Korea.
Finding the right place in Jeonja land can be tricky as it is composed of several large buildings. Basically, if you go through the video game alley, and come out the other side, the building is across the street. Sort of a round building if I recall. Go in and up to the 2nd floor (import electronics). Lots of stereo equipment, mp3 players, and projectors. If someone had a decent map of the place, I could be of more assistance.

That's pretty sexy.

Thanks for the projector info. I actually ended up finding some at TechnoMart today, too, but I'm starting to waver on whether I want one because of the ridiculous price of bulbs. Perhaps I'll give in, but not right now...

If you are just wanting to watch DVDs with it, then look for one of these back home. There is a new name for it, I think. I saw them for under $700 in Hawaii a few weeks ago:
