For those of you who like to complain about Korean food and how it's so lacking in taste and variety, try living on German food. I'm in Germany right now and I swear, if I have to eat another sausage drenched in disgusting cold gravy and boiled potatoes, I will seriously go nuts. Minus the cheese and bread, German food is highly lacking... I honestly think it's worse than English food. Gimme some Samgyeopsal and kimchee jigae already!

But at least they have good beer here. Korean beer sucks!

British cooks such as Gordon Ramsey and Jamie Oliver are world famous. Name me a single famous Korean cook.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't meat pies, curries, bangers and nash, shephard's pie, scones, custards, fish and chips, all English food? Nothing there to knock in my book.

Man O man, maybe you need to either get out more or learn to cook or both. I ate some incredible German style chicken and various beef dishes back in the states. Anyway, here's a link that might help you try and find some better German food: http://www.germanculture.com.ua/library/links/food.htm

This is how I remember German food:

Do Germans put TV shows on with foreigners speaking German, singing the praises of German food?

Korea does. It makes me wonder if something is lacking.

Freakstar: I lived in Germany and I couldn't stand the food there! Currywurst is the worst Smile The desserts were exellent though and the bread! Also the beer was great-- but I was there during World Cup and Budwieser was sponsoring the whole thing!! Haha! Imagine drinking Bud Light in Germany at a soccer match!

When it gets warmer, try Waldemeister icecream!

Take care!

Here are some suggestions. Try the roasted pork, beef, chicken, and other fowl. Goulasch is nice, too.

In addition, sandwiches are very good in that nation and the soups and stews are very, very good.

Really, how long have you been there and how many different dishes have you tried thus far?

And aside from the Indian Curry, food in England is heart attack on a plate gross! Best food in Europe is from Belgium and Spain!

Oh yeah I forgot that one! Italian food is great! I've had all around good food while living in Europe and traveling throughout-- except in England and Germany.

Although I did love Indian Curry in England and the Turkish food in Germany.

Freakster-- try Turkish! So fresh and delicious!

Figure out what the German word for "fatback" is. Buy some, fry it in a pan and eat it with some leaves picked off the nearest tree. Ah, the memories...

It sounds like you have tried very little German food.

You can also find excellent Italian, Turkish etc.

There is also amazing meat, cheese, bread and vegetables-learn to cook.
