For Sale:

A 2003 Daelim Daystar (black). I have the papers for the bike. I am the 2nd owner. It has the steal-frame to protect the bike in case of a drop (but it's never been dropped). It has a back-rest for a second passenger and a trunk. The trunk can even fit a helmet.

It is in excellent condition with all maintenance performed. It comes with 2 helmets and all kinds of wintergear if you want it (shin guards, face guard, the big mittens that fit over the handle bars). With all of that equipment, it makes it quite easy to drive 20 minutes in the winter without really feeling the cold.

Asking price: 850,000 won

PM me with any questions. I am in Jeonju, but can arrange a drop-off if necessary.

I don't think it's that over the top since I paid 1.2 in September for it and also added the backrest/trunk for another 100,000. So I'm taking a hit of 300,000 over 6 months. That seems fair to me.

I think the price your asking might be a little high.

For example there are often Hyosung Mirage 250cc bikes going for around that price.

Good luck with the sale.

Thank you for the advice. I'll drop the price to 900,000 won. I must emphasis the condition of the bike as well. It's not another one of the beaten up 125s. This one has been cared for.

It is still a 125cc several year old Korean bike anyway that you package it. Unless it is one of those faux sport bikes, I'm afraid that your revised asking price is still a bit unrealistic. I, too have had a couple of Daelim bikes (very good condition) here that I bought and sold, and never paid more than or sold for more than 600,000. I understand what you think the value of the bike is based on your investment, but the market doesn't share this same value. Good luck, regardless.

Hey, whatever the market will bear, right? Asking prices are all well and good, but it comes down to bids, not nominal prices and hot air. If you want a bike (trust me, the best way to spice up your life in Korea) then ignore the noise from long time listeners and make a bid... just make sure you read up on how to transfer the ownership, register and insure before you do.
